Ajabez is contemporary rock'n'roll band, annonuced the Best Young Band of Bulgaria by Bulgarian National TV.
Why this name?
Jabez is a famous Bible hero and his story is described in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. It is one of the most famous Biblical stories of victory over sorrow and despair by simple honest faith in God. The name Jabez means "sorrow, grief". At first, inspired by his story, we wanted to name the band after him, Jabez. Then, however, we decided that it is not good to be called "sorrow", because our purpose was to bring hope and joy, so we called ourselves A-Jabez, the opposite of sorrow and despair.
Do you play live?
We play mostly live and we love it. There are a few special clubs in Sofia like the Backstage and the Swinging Hall where we love to play.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
May be on a next stage.
