Unified Past is a progressive rock band very influenced by 70's progressive rock and theatrical acts.
Why this name?
We used to be called Long Island's Labyrinth from 1989-1998; We had several lineup changes during those years and now we have returned to the original lineup so it was a unifying of our past and present.
Do you play live?
We no longer play live as our members are scattered all over the US. We are just a studio project right now, but as our new CD develops a buzz, we are itching to play some live gigs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The playing field has become so much more level. Anyone can record something and get it instantly out there to people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely
