My name is Eric Kalenze. I can be found elsewhere on Soundclick as gawker slowdown. Maybe you've seen the name around here. It's kinda what I'm up to now. Before I got into the solo singer-songwriter thing, I played in the band you're currently checking out. If you ask me, we were a damn good rock band here in Minneapolis. Before breaking up in 1999, we released two records and recorded at least another album's worth that never saw the light until now. The songs you find here are some of that bunch that never went public except in live performances.
Why this name?
Almost by default. The story, really, isn't all that interesting.
Do you play live?
No. As stated above, the band is no longer together.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows people to get music out without ever having to create physical media, for one thing. It's something I like quite a lot, actually, especially for the Third Wheel situation. People who know a little about this band can now hear some of the songs that were never released, which is really pretty cool.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No.
Band History:
Too long. If you care to know, please email. We're a bunch of guys who loved making music and laughing together. We all still love music, but decided to stop making it together in 1999.
Your influences?
People often compared us to the Replacements, Buffalo Tom, etc.
Anything else...?
Please be in contact with comments, especially if you know a little about Third Wheel. Was it worth the wait?
