Basically a one man show doing mostly acoustic work out of the garage. I originally started out as a drummer and picked up just enough guitar and piano to be dangerous. No performances recently, right now just enjoying making the music and putting it out there. I released my first CD, "no audible dialog", in 2009.
Why this name?
Well, its my name, so that was pretty easy.
Do you play live?
Right now, playing some open mic nights and parties. Not too much because of the full time job.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it gives people the ability to get music published without having to go through the process of being "discovered".
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't know. The purist in me says I'm just here for the music, but if the terms were right, who knows?
Band History:
I started writing as a kid, probably started writing my first "real" songs about 15 years ago. Some of the songs here were actually recorded around 1992 on a little four track tape machine. I played in a couple of bands as a teenager (drums and vocals) but life took over and music took a back seat.
Your influences?
This is a tough question. I guess I'm more of a "singer-songwriter" than anything else. My favorite band is Barenaked Ladies, I love the way they combine music and humor.
Favorite spot?
San Francisco
Equipment used:
I play a Breedlove acoustic guitar. Right now that's the only instrument I own.
