Why this name?
We were in desperate need of a name and we thought it sounded original.
Do you play live?
We have played an enormous amount of live shows in and around the Sherman/Denison area. Our favorite venue is called Breaktime. Srangely it caters mainly to a metal/rock crowd but the fact that our brand of country has an alternative sound makes them like us. The stage is big and low to the ground so drunken surprise guest appearances are common.
One of the funniest nights was when a drunk Jamaican fellow wondered up onto the stage and helped Gregg sing one of his songs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes it possible to market and reach hundreds more people than if you were trying to get on the radio. Facebook and Myspace have been invaluable tools in getting people to our shows and getting us booked.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I won't say we would'nt but we would have to consider it long and hard.
Your influences?
Wilco, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Old 97's, Uncle Tupelo, Ryan Adams, Townse Van Zant, The Band, Bob Dylan, Sunvolt
Favorite spot?
Austin, Sherman, Lubbock, San Antonio, College Station
Equipment used:
Martin Acoustic, Fender Telecaster, Tama Drums, Roland Keys and Synth
