Maligna was formed back in 2002 by Joe Lizzarraga and Gur Quintero, both now in the millitary. Band members that came and went are Abe on turn table and Kung fu George on lead guitar then Rob Lugo. Sam , who only played guitar at the time, was recruited at first for drums even givin the fact he couldnt play then but learned in a wisps of a few months.
Why this name?
not sure why, it just sounded cool, Maligna translates to malignant
Do you play live?
we played several San DIego shows at Brick by Brick and some bar/band venue on El Cajon Blvd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Very, it puts a lot of music industry at a crunch and maybe forces them to cut their greedy reflected prices on music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes, my kids need to eat
