welcome to the edwards3rd page...
Why this name?
it just came one day...but often gets confused for many many different names...if you think of anymore go ahead and let me know...
Do you play live?
promoters are so hard to deal with these days, so i have been diagnosed with open mic fever...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
hard to say...allows the barriers of internet music to be flattened so us lesser known mortals can flourish...but at the same time, music is becoming a less cherished thing...no one wants, or feels they should pay anymore.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
i would be lying if i said no to sound cool.
Band History:
edwards3rd is my new profile to release new songs. I have been described by nme as “well executed and intimate”, and americana uk gave me 7/10 in a recent article. Support gigs have included Miles Hunt from the Wonderstuff and last year, the Coral.
i don't really go too much into the history of things, because to be honest, who cares.....even tho i did there for a minute.

Your influences?
here are a few people i may not sound like but i like and therefore may influence me in some way:
the beatles (and their relative solo careers, currently favouring george harrison in his early solo years), elliott smith, morrissey and the smiths, bob dylan, the old indie scene (such as the charlatans and the stone roses), radiohead, badly drawn boy and to finish off with for now, the beach boys.

Equipment used:
anything really, acoustic and electric guitars, drums, bass guitar, organs, harmonica, various percussion, double bass.
