THE NAME IS 20/20MIC

I was born in Muncie,INDY, I was raised in alota different places but California is home to me Oceanside to be exact. Since I was like 6 or seven I always wanted to rhyme or just have something to do with the music industry. So I fought my way out of my self given situation and went back to school. As of now I am a student at Clark Atlanta Univerity going into the mass media arts feild for Audio Engineering and A&R reasons. I have no real story as to how many times I been shot, or how long I been in prison, or how much dope I sold, just been there done that and really don't care to be back in that placement in life. In life you learn alot from your own personal mistakes so I really kept my dreams in my eyes and never gave up on what I wanted to do. I make rebel rap, thats what I like to call it. My two achievements in my life that mean alot to me are recivoing my G.E.D and being excepted into Clark Atlanta University. I came along way and have soooooo much on my mind and sooo many ideas that I have stored up I just want to get around people that want to make real hip hop music and get a number album on the charts. Thats my dream. Thank you to all the people who added me as a friend and thanks for the comment that was left on my page by restless 1 . It is greatly recieved.
Why this name?
20/20MIC tells gives you a good view of the things that I'm about, a clear view in life and having good people around me that are about helping the cause I ride for.
Do you play live?
Naw not often. Music is not something that is really cared about around here , so hip hop artist never really get any play from the public.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe the internet gives underground artist like myself the ability to get our music out to the world the same way the industry does for main stream artist. I belive the internet also hurt the industry but for all the right reasons.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Knowing what I know now, I would but not right off the back. I would have to have sixty five percent control of my music or atlest fifty percent. Reasons being is that I produce my own music I just know what kind of sound I have and know my rap style and I love to work with other producers. So I believe I deserve at lest fifty percent nothing below Fourty percent rights to my masters.
Band History:
I just use to watch my older brother and his boy Byron in the back dancing like big daddy kane and his dancers and grew up diggin in his tape box. Thats how I was introduced to this game. Also watching Yomtv raps was a ritual in my house. So i just begin to write when ever I went through any kind of pain and this is what it evolved into. 20/20MIC
