I'm part of the Sonn crew. I do some of the production for the gruop amd most for myself. Since I was being ask to hit other poeple outside of the crew off wit heat I decided to start my own production thing. So I started Soul Of Art Productions.
Why this name?
I love soulful music and I make music from the soul. I don't try to make it for anyone but peole on the streets who I know can feel it.
Do you play live?
of course I do. Me and double O kill live shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Keeps the RIAA out my bizness and pocket, along wit greedy labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
They do pay enough. I keep it real simple for you. I can't sell a cd for $14 and get a nickle to dime back. I'll go as low as 50/50.
Your influences?
Pete Rock, Premier, Beat Nutz, Anyone from DITC RZA, And to me the man who set it off Marley Marl.
Anything else...?
I'm takin us back to the golden ages of Hip Hop. Let them sambo cats rock wit the clear channel and radio one. This is real HIP HOP. Sonn always been on that.
