I am a songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist living in Southern California. All the music on these pages was written and recorded by me in my home studio.

My new album, "Tigers," has just been released at Magnatune! My 2003 debut album, "Fruitless," is also available there.

Thanks for visiting!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is the best thing that's ever happened to musicians like me. We can promote and share our own music through web sites, connect with fans through weblogs and e-mail, and get paid directly for the music we produce (my label, Magnatune, splits revenues with its artists 50/50).

Visit michael crawford's site for more ideas about legal downloads and internet distribution.
Band History:
I began playing classical piano at an early age, and also studied jazz piano at the University of Oregon. I am a self-taught guitar player, singer, and producer.

I finished my debut album, "Fruitless," and got signed to the Magnatune label in 2003. My new album, "Tigers," was just released February 2005.

Other projects include DirtyDirtyRockStar, with vocalist Bernard DeBenedictis.
