Why this name?

well SNP is pronounced SNiP and it doesn't stand for Scottish National Party

Band History:

Mantid SNP is the mostly electronica scatty noise timewaste project of Chris Richford but the name also covers any acoustic or progressive rock/delay based ramblings which are performed around Norwich (currently Bedfords bar and Delaneys irish bar)

started using a demo version of cubase in 2005 just to record and multi track some of my acoustic songs. I got more and more interested in the electronic side of things thanks to Rhys (dot hardcore, Psyence) and just kept f***ing with sounds

in 2006-2007 I played guitar for a band that called itself A Million O'Clock http://www.myspace.com/itsamillionoclock

now im working on some things with the bassist from that band Chris Golden. were trying to work polyrhythms into some kind of melodic posty ramble...early days
