I am the product of the tough streets of NYC and have the kind of education you can only get here. I'm loud, literate with a mess of influences. I have researched and studied the "Golden Age" of music songwriting, and production techniques from the '40s through the '70s. So I have the ability to draw from a s**tload of styles and influences. At the same time I don't like to stray too far
from psychedelic and brit rock as a base of operations. I think it gets confusing to an audience if an artist is all over the map.

Do you play live?
Yes around the New York Tri=State area. Up until recently I played rhythm guitar with Tuff Darts [one of the original early l CBGB's bands from the 70's]
The club was totally packed and standing in front of the stage singing every lyric to these 30 year old songs was one of the opening bands [they were in their late teens at best!]
It was an amazing and powerful moment for me.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Certainly the ability to reach a worldwide audience of people who love the same things that you do is a very good thing. The reality that there is no filter to what music gets out there is not always a good thing { The selection process mostly was one of the positive concepts of the old record label model]
People have to work harder to get their music heard when there's millions of artists out there but that weeds out a certain segment of artists who are not willing to keep up.
Fans have a lot more available to them and can pick an choose just the songs they really want [which is good]

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes but not until I had a large enough fan base and income from self promotion
where I could dictate terms. Furthermore I would only need to do when I felt I was ready to reach a broader audience and couldn't do it on my own.

Band History:
I started out playing in bands and recording band demos in rehearsal rooms for friends. Then I wrote, played, and co-produced my own cd's. In 2005 I started recording and producing projects in my home studio. When that got too busy, I took a partnership in a recording studio in Long Island City. My part of the studio was called Zeroville, and I stayed there until 2007 engineering for dozens of bands. During this time I worked on the projects listed below. In 2008 I moved to work in another studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at Metrosonic Studios.I was there for 18 months and decided that I need to be on my own so I move to upper manhattan where I continue to record produce and mix for a variety of artists as well as my own material.
