Lake Alderwood is a musical home recording project of 2 dutch musicians, Peter van de Elshout and Jan Vermeeren. Inspired by rock music from the seventies until now.
Why this name?
The name Lake Alderwood is a very free translation of the family names of the musicians. By coincidence it seems there as an Alderwood Lake in the USA.
Do you play live?
No live gigs at the moment. The home recording project is just a hobby. But you'll never know what will happen in the future....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has already changed a lot of things. However it seems that there is still a toostrong link between record companies and dj's which is limiting the broadcasting of new music and bands very much.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Who would be interested in us (44 and 45 years old)? But ok, why not...?
Band History:
As we are not a real band playing live gigs, it's just a project started in late 2007.
Your influences?
Various kinds of rock music, with influences such as jazz rock (fusion), etc.
