Whats upp? Name is Sergio Rush AKA Decan Rush. Im a 20 year old kid who was born and raised in brooklyn new york, later on moving to broomfield co. Can you say culture change? my music is pretty much about my trails and tribulations through life. Everything i've experienced. Why this name?
When I was a kid back in NY when i went to church my uncle would call me deacon. So, I put a lil Ghetto swag on it. (spelled it wrong) Got the Decan and Rush is my last name
Do you play live?
I havent yet, Im still waiting for that one special moment or that one screw up and everyone gets pissed haha. I cant wait for it all.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Oh man I think its helped so much. If I didnt have the internet id be so closed minded to the whole thing and wouldnt know any of the little bit i do know about it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they could help me take my music to the right place i think I would. I need a lot of help. a lot of guidance. But I believe ill be there someday
Your influences?
I love Lenny Kravitz. I think thats when I knew I wanted to do music when I heard him just rip over the guitar for the first time. I broke down in tears actually. Uh, I respect a lot of people. The Game is number 1 to me. I think that man came from so much to be were hes at. and I actually believe hes trying to do his best unlike all the other people out there still gettin caught you know. I like the old guys like Jay - z, ODB lived right around where i lived in NY but i was to young to know anything about that. Shwayze would happen to be what I listen to all the time. That and Relient K id say. I listen to it all
