Yea man
its yuh man g lex up on this... i produce hip hop, R&B , and dancehall.. ive been doin it for a min.. im not like the millions of ppl on the net who hype up there sh*** , come to find out there sh*** is wack. me personally, i think im pretty good at wut i do since i really have no musical training , or never studied an instrument and im 15 . for the most part i make all my beats from scratch but recently im guilty of trendwhoring the style of sampling old vocals.. but anyway have a listen, see if u like, if u feel it holler at meh if u wanna purchase some stuff
Why this name?
well... i thought to myself one time, i wanna make music t represent the street, and as you kno music is a univeral language. no matter wut race or creed u are, if u hear a song and u like it u'll listen to it, right?? so,i thought up the name 'Ghetto Lexicon'- the kid with the tounge of the streets.
Do you play live?
no i dont play live but hopefully ill get notice by some company and ill have the pleasure of performing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes , i would, but before doing all of that i would rather be affiliated wit a record company first before going directly into the music biz. get a feel for it and how ppl work. hopefully work with other major or up and comming producers on the label i would sign to.
Band History:
well it all started one day durin my summer vacation, i must have been in the 6th grade. I was about 11 and the idea just popped up in my head one day that i would be hot if i could just make my own drumlines on the computer. all i wanted to do was make drumlines that was all. so i did some research and i found the program Hammerhead. i thot it was the hottest thing out. i would lock myself in my room and use that program for hours at a time . but then after a while i thot it would be hot to also come up with the melodic part of the production. so i found , yes you guessed it, Fruity Loops. at the time the one that i used was Fruity loops 2. at this time im like 12.. so i started usin it, i really dont kno wat type of genre of music i made with it at the time but i thot it was hot to me. then in like the middle of 7th grade i really started picking up momentum with my prodction and gettin good. oh yea, at that time i was also rhymin with these other two cats... cutting to the chase, im a sophmore in high school 15 yrs old and this is where im at now ( peep the beats)
Your influences?
influences.. my brother , he used to dj... i used to follow im down into the basement where all his friends used to be rappin and he would sample records... reall under ground type sh*** too, i was like 5 or six at the time. he used to listen to alot of roots reggae like bob marley, peter tosh, bunny wailer.. u kno..
Equipment used:
I use my PC for my production...
software used : Fruity Loops for making the beats
