26west debut CD delivers an eclectic mix of jazz movements by keyboadist Barry Aiken and the unique pop vocal stylings of Danny Boyle.
Why this name?
The name of the band came out of complete monotony. Driving to and from the Bare mic studios
where the CD was recorded. Danny drove the Sunset Highway, which is Hwy. 26 west. Over the 2 years of recording, Danny got to know this road very well. The early morning rush hour, the mid-afternoon rush hour and the after 5:00pm rush hour.
If you make it big..?
For all the years we have put into this project, making it big is really an after thought. We love what we do and will continue doing it, whether or not we make it internationally or not. Our success comes from what we love doing.
Band History:
I can't believe is the debut CD of 26west.
26west is the songwriting team of Northwest artists Danny Boyle (vocals) and Barry Aiken (keyboards).
This adult contemporary act successfully blends Pop, R-n-B and Jazz into their original material.

Barry originally from Trail B.C. Canada and Danny from Portland, Oregon brought their
musical abilities together in 1990. Forming a fast friendship and musical style they can call their own.
Coming from two successful musical backgrounds, Barry 's music appears on network and cable television programs such as NFL Films, Party of Five, and Wheel of Fortune, The History and Lifetime Channels. In addition to the national release of "Sky High" with the contemporary jazz group Flight 7. Danny's music has kept his voice heard on the airwaves throughout the Northwest region for years. With his act KID, Danny's touring of clubs, colleges and arenas has put him stage with some of Rocks greatest National Acts.

Several music professionals on the promotion, distribution and Internet radio side of the business have reviewed the CD. Here is what a few of them had to say: "…. they're ready." Says Jon Flanagan of Flanagon Promotions in Hollywood. "…awesome set of pipes." Exclaims Jessie King of the Media Network and Music, Music, Music's Vic Goldman.

The array of musical guests that perform on this CD is impressive by itself. Some of Portland's best
musical talent is here. Cal Scott, Jeff Leonard, Sandin Wilson, Mike Snyder and Danny Schauffler.

The countless hours of stage and studio experience by 26west shows in the poise and maturity
of this material. Oregon radio has picked up this CD, there are now 15 stations airing 26west. The Adult Contemporary Music Research Newsletter tested "I can't believe" and "Only one" (week of April 19,1999) they ranked in there with all the national releases. Letting the music listening public know there is still fresh music being created by the name of 26west.
