Hexagrama is a project in constant evolution. We started as a vocal group and now we also play recorder, guitar and percussions. We sing music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and New Spain.
Why this name?
The name is taken from Pascal's mystical Hexagram, on which one of our members wrote his promotion.
Do you play live?
Yes, we give at least three concerts a year and play in schools and churches, sometimes even at parties.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot. It's a great opportunity to reach out to many people and share music over the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. Unless the conditions are fair, which is almost impossible.
Band History:
I must translate it. So please be patient.
Your influences?
Anonymous 4, Ars Nova, the King's Singers, Hilliard Ensamble, SAVAE, Poeta Magica and many others.
Equipment used:
Our voices, recorders, a piano for rehearsals and the studio. We don't have a good audio or recording equipment yet.
