Why this name?
Everyday it feels like the government, and society in general, groups everyone into categories. These prejudices lead them to believe they know someone by where they shop, who they talk to, what they watch on tv, what music they listen to, and where they spend the rest of their free time. Everyone is an individual... and we think as individuals. We took the name Decaptured because we are free thinkers who can make our own decisions, and not followers of blind faith. We are captured by no one.
Do you play live?
We do not play live, yet. We are continually writing new music until we are fully equipped to play out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has made it possible for bands like us to promote and sell our music without having to deal with record companies, or anyone in the music industry for that matter.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Given the right terms.
