The War
Bass Player from the U-S of A. Been playing for about 5 years. I use a Dean Razor Standard 4 and an Ibanez BTB505. I'm really into rock music, and I love bands where the bass player knows how to play more than just a root note. When I play alone, my stuff is more Jazz/Blues Fusion-esque.
Why this name?
Old internet screen name, fits like a bracelet.
Do you play live?
Live shows get me going, I live for it. Within the element of a show, there is nothing in the world except music. All previous limitations on me, physically, mentally, emotionally...they just disappear and I'm set off. Perfection in melody.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Mp3's to a certain extent allows an artist to get their name out there, and to be recognized by people from locales that arent normally accessible. Once a band has made the cut, DONT STEAL THEIR MUSIC.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
HELL YES.
Your influences?
Justin Chancellor gave me my 'picked' style. Other influences are just later in life listeners, everything that influences me basically comes from my own, I didnt really listen to music until after i'd played bass for about 3 years. Basically speaking, I play what sounds good in my head.
