Okay, well the Beyond the Beat style came up when we were all fans of N.E.R.D, and the Neptunes, for quite some time.
We ran into some freinds who had a familiar guitar style to UK indie, and in some ways The Strokes.
So we finally decided to make a funky band, however, we didn't have a drummer at all, so we decided to use a breakbeat as our beat, and we came up with this origional sound using turntables.

Why this name?
I came up with the name, well, because it reflects the nature of our music i guess.
Do you play live?
Only in our rehersal room, we have freinds around to hear what we do.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's brought different genre's and styles to a wide range of people, which can only be a good thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think so, yeah, why not?
Band History:
The band is about a year old now, we all go to college. It's good fun man, writing songs is what i like to do, playing guitars and messing with turntables, their isn't anything better.
Your influences?
Loads of stuff from Al Green and the whole Motown collection, even stuff like The Beatles, the Strokes, N.E.R.D, Johnny Cash, man, even Limp Bizkit. Everything has a influence on you if you take the music for what it is.
