I recently supported Xavier Rudd, which was amazing!

I play acoustic rock/folk and my sound is a collage of my influences over the years, which ranges from classic rock like Free and Led Zeppelin, through a dodgy 80's period filled with Cinderalla and Bon Jovi, through a slightly less embarrassing stage in the 90's full of Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains and Jeff Buckley, to my mellow years now, which consists of John Butler Trio, Pete Murray, Ray Lamontagne, Bernard Fanning and Damien Rice.

I work with an amazing musician and producer called Jono Rothwell in his studio in Jersey, and you are listening to our current work.

Why this name?
My parents chose it...
Do you play live?
As often as time permits.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It provides a channel to millions of listeners who would otherwise, never have the opportunity to listen.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure... if they could guarantee debauchery and excess.
Band History:
The first band I was in was called 'Addiction' and we played an interesting mix of 70's rock/blues like Hendrix and Cream, to full on melancholic grunge like Pearl Jam.

I've recorded a few original tunes over the years with bands, 'RASP' was my first attempt at scream-filled grunge, and then I mellowed and recorded with a great surfy band called 'Curses'.

I then went solo and have released two albums.

Honey, which is ten original songs recorded live in Simon Larbalestier's studio.

I then went to New York to record a version of my song 'Sold' with Tommy Allen and Blondie Guitarist, Paul Carbonara. Ed Stasium did the final mix.

I recently released a live album, recorded at the Jersey Arts Centre with a band called 'The Chiefs', which is the name I gave two amazing musicians, Pete Newton and Alex Glendining... who played bass and percussion respectively in my live show for a year or so.

As previously mentioned, I am now recording studio versions of these songs (from Honey and the live show) and you (hopefully) are listening to those right now!
Your influences?
Ben Lee, Amos Lee, Jack Johnson, John Butler Trio, Bernard Fanning, Pete Murray, Xavier Rudd, ALO, Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Jeff Black, Damien Rice, Stephen Fretwell, Ray Lamontagne, Jeff Buckley.
Favorite spot?
New York. Las Vegas. New Zealand.
Equipment used:
I have a similar set-up to John Butler. Basically, that's a wah wah pedal, a Boss Reverb and Digital Delay pedal, all hooked-in through a loop station so I can lay down solos and backing loops as I play live.
Anything else...?
Thanks for listening and reading...
