Hi my name is Melv, I'm 33 and originally from south west UK. Started DJ'ing back in 1994/5, started out on Hardcore (Happy,DnB) slowly over time moved into techno,trance,hiphop ect. Played a few gigs in my local area. Started producing music back in 2000, had to stop due to real life issues, but now I'm back doing what I love the most.
Why this name?
My name is taken from my DJ name (DJ Stukatto) Stukatto is a rewording of the musical term 'staccatto' meaning to play notes, seperated.
Do you play live?
I used to as a DJ.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changed it dramatically atleast from the independent / homegrown side of it. It allows people like myself the chance to share music and skills across the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It really depends on the contract.
Band History:
Started DJ'ing back in 1994/5, started out on Hardcore (Happy,DnB) slowly over time moved into techno,trance,hiphop ect. Played a few gigs in my local area. Started producing music back in 2000 after toying with a basic music editor on the playstation, friends enjoyed the music i had created on it.
Times have changed and now obviously the PC has taken over as the main tool of choice, loaded with many vst instruments,plugins and of course FL Studio.

Your influences?
My influneces are vast and covers as many artists as my musical taste covers. From the likes of Aphrodite,Mickey Finn, Penduluum to DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Sasha even Pink Floyd, Hooverphonic, Moby, Underworld, Kosheen, Leftfield, Prodigy, Eat Static, Buddha Bar ect.
Favorite spot?
My hometownof Frome... greatest place on earth!
