My name is Ariah` and I'm a 16 year old from Rhode Island who dreams of becoming a well known professional singer.

Why this name?

I wanted something personal for me, and since music is such a big part of my life, I looked for music terms. I came across aria, which is an opera term. Adding an H`, because I thought it looked pretty!

Do you play live?

I absolutely love to perform live, but I don't the chance to very often. Usually it's just for school talent shows and competitions at conventions that I go to.

At Connecticon 2008, I won Connecticon Idol and was able to sing during the Masquerade's intermission.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Without a doubt, I would sign a record contract with a major label, but, of course I do have a plan for my life in the meantime, as I try to pursue this.

Your influences?

First and foremost, my father. As a music teacher for 29 years, he was able to motivate me to keep singing and keep playing my violin. He taught me so much over the years and it is entirely because of him that I am as skilled as I am now.

Equipment used:

I record with a Blue Snowball USB Microphone, and for Audio Editing Programs, I use Garageband and Audacity. And if I can get my hands on a Windows, then I use Adobe Audition.
