Why this name?
A couple of things: it's kind of a tribute to Notorious B.I.G., undoubtedly one of the best rappers to ever have lived (plus he's from NY ;) and also it kind of suits my height.
Do you play live?
I never have but I would love to.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it has done wonders for the music industry. I know if it weren't for the internet, I would be lost (in terms of music, anyways). It makes everything so accessible. It's truly amazing, in my opinion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I doubt it will happen anytime soon but that would be a dream come true.
Band History:
Well, I'm only one person so the history isn't anything real cool. I got into electronic music with video game music and then steadily got more into dance music. I took a MIDI class in 10th grade and fell in love with it, while simultaneously falling more and more in love with dance music and hip-hop. And that's how it started.
Your influences?
Pretty much everything is an influence to me: myself, my friends, animals, the world. Everything. And of course, the music I listen to is a huuge influence on my music. Some of the artists I would call my main influences would probably be Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, DJ Premier, Above & Beyond, DJ Shah feat. Adrina Thorpe, Gabriel & Dresden, Marc van Linden, Talla 2XLC, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Mydus and there are plenty more. Also, Armin's set at Ministry of Sound in 2008 as well as Nas' Illmatic.
Favorite spot?
Braunschweig, Muenchen, Hamm, Berlin, Amsterdam
Anything else...?
Please let me know what you think. I'd love to hear whatever you have to say.
