Jimmy B grew up listening to almost nothing but rap, and finally found himself comfortable with writing his own rhymes at age 19. Born and raised in Modesto, California, he was never the most popular kid in school. And his personal life was nothing to brag about either. Finally fed up with expressing his anger through throwing punches and getting in fights, he found an alternative through hip-hop and rap. Eminem being his greatest influence, he sat and wrote his own rhymes based on his own life, trying to keep his own style while taking after Eminem's.
A few months after Jimmy B started writing rhymes, he was introduced to DiGi Valentine, a rapper from London, who was featured in Jimmy B's first recorded track.
Age 20, Jimmy B has recorded a few more tracks, and is currently working on more for his first soon-to-come album.

Why this name?
It was simple. All my homies back home always called me Jimmy B.
Do you play live?
I don't play live yet, but I'd definitely love to.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I like to consider my music kind of blooming into a style similar to Eminem's. Too much crap rap on the radio today, so I'm trying to make my voice heard to break that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definitely, without a question.
