PH5 was formed dring the autumn 1988 and played for 6 month with huge success
PH5 played their final and unforgettable gig at Ringe Festival, the biggest festival in the Northern Europe. A live video was recorded.
It's a fact, that PH5 had everything a good pop/rock band requires: 3 songwriters, a good rhythm arranger and a unique sax. It took them just 6 month for them to reach the closest place to stardom you can get without getting it. The future of the band looked bright and exciting, but sometimes things doesn't go the way they could have.
However two of the members: Jakob Dam and Peter Fryd decided to get back together.
The first song was recorded September 27th 2008 at Peter's place and the song "Ding-a-ling" could easily be the first of a string of new tracks from PH5.....who obviously now has returned from the dead.

Why this name?
PH5...started up with a bit of acid rock
Do you play live?
Due to some logistic difficulties at the moment it's not so easy for us to kick xxx, however it can't take long before I'm back on the road.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Up until the breakthrough of the Internet, it was very difficult to get through (and heard) to the labels in a small country like Denmark. The labels were only focused on the established (6-7) artist. Today they don't sell anything because they didn’t scout anything back them. The fact the recording technology has developed so fast together with possibility of distributing your own music has made an unbelievable impact.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
A record label is an "entertainment" company" just like Coca-Cola. You buy a "pleasure", whether its beverage, music or a theatre ticket it's still comes from the ordinary mans same wages. We don't need to sell millions of cd's (or downloads), however there is the music business and then there is the business of music. We'd like to sign with any label if we can agree terms.
