Welcome! If you're here you obviously like hip hop that isn't the mainstream! I don't know what to say really. But here is a breakdown I wrote last night:

I'm, at the time of writing this, an underground rapper with no CD's, EP's, singles, or live performances to date. I do plan on working on more songs and releasing an album independently. I'm trying to stray away from the mainstream rap that rules the airwaves. I try to focus more so on issues in the world, solutions on how to change them, or even just story telling. Now, presently there is 8 songs on my page I believe. Only 4 of these are going to be used on my finished album. I have been using some roylaty free beats, and my computer to record the songs. I'm hoping maybe if someone picks up the CD and enjoys it enough, I can work with someone and actually work in a studio. One day.
Why this name?
I had tossed around many names from the time I tried doing remixes to now. I started first as DJ Pacman in homage to the videogame character who graces so many arcades across the world. Next was S.T.O.C.K.$ (Still The Only Cool Kid $elling) which developed into S.T.O.C.C.S (Still The Only Credible Contender Standing). After that was the short lived King Qut(pronounced cut) aka KQ. Once I finally found a style that fit with me, I created a new name: Auto Fokus. At first I liked Fokus because I felt like I would want to be something for listeners to focus in to. I decieded that Auto Fokus would suit me even more, because I want my style to automatically have you focus in on me.
Do you play live?
I haven't played live yet, but I'm close to booking a show.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it in major ways. It allows smaller artists to show what they got on the same level as more grizzled veterans. That and downloading of music is killing the major labels. Which is slightly nice to see.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe. It depends what the deal is.
Your influences?
This is just going to be in alphabethical order. Not all of my influences may show up in the music, but they help.
