Jabao is made up of two brothers, Jay and Chino. Born in Springfield, MA and raised in Puerto Rico and the Boston area. Jabao is a combination of Jamaican sounds and other caribbean influences with a touch of Techno and House music. It all comes together with Spanglish lyrics to compliment it's Latino flavor. Known as Dancehall, it's an upbeat style that will always get you motivated to dance and enjoy yourself.
Our first production is titled Siente El Movimiento and is full of danceable tracks that demonstrate the duos dexterity.

Why this name?
Jabao is a Native-American word which was used by the Taino people to describe a musical instrument made of three strings. It's modern meaning, initiated in Puerto Rico. It is now used and understood in all Latin-American countries to signify an individual of MIXED African and White ancestry. Primarily, he or she that has fair skin and coarse hair.
Do you play live?
Jabao has played LIVE at many events throughout the Eastern Unites states, from Florida to the Boston area. Jabao has also played LIVE on televison and can been seen by going to http://blip.tv/file/1260832/
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has obviously revolutionized the music industry as artists that, would not have had the chance to be seen or heard, can now be seen and heard all over the world at the click of a few buttons.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Jabao is currently working with an Independent promoter but would gladly consider an offer from any major label. We know that we are going all the way to the top of the charts. It's only a matter of time...
Your influences?
Jabao is influenced by, not only the artists that have "made it", but by the artists that are working hard every day to make their dreams come true and have their music played and heard by all within reach. To include some of the well known influences, Luis Fonsi, Bob Marley, Wisin y Yandel, Gilberto Santarosa, Mark Anthony, Hector Lavoe and many others that have left their mark on the music industry.
Favorite spot?
Jabao's favorite spot will always be in front of a live audience as it is what drives the duo and has been their goal from the beginning.
