How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes everything because it cuts down on the footwork. It's like looking for a job- nowadays you don't have to go to the store and ask for an application, you do all of that online. Ofcourse there's no substitute for getting out there and meeting people, but at least this way you can direct the people you meet to your homepage at anytime, without having to walk around with CD's in your pocket.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes but not with out intense scrutiny of the contracts. It's easy to make a mistake when dealing with majors. The only positive is the distributionis included, and you might get some good advertising (might). We lean towards the independent route with more money to make per album sold, and its better to come up with your promotional costs upfront so you don't wind up owing anything. That's mainly why we'd rather go independent
Band History:
Born and raised in Corona, Queens, the group can help but be influenced by the neighborhood politics during the nineties when they were coming of age. The group first formed in 98 when they began recording songs. Surrounded by a fair amount of crime and poverty, the group participated in the share of mischief. It was this participation that got J. Aponte sentenced to six years in 2003, halting all group progress. This gave both M.C.’s a chance to further master their crafts respectively, only to reunite in 2008 with a new focus, better skills and a new overall hunger to establish there presence as two of the hottest M.C.’s on the mic.
