What up World? I have over 5 years of experience in the music industry. I landed an internship at a professional recording studio, Dream Sounds, right out of high school at the age of 17. Since then, I have invested into equipment and now own a small studio of my own. I can provide a handful of services including but not limited to:Beat Making, Album Production, Song Writing, Sound Engineering, Recording Engineering, Marketing Strategies, Advertising, and Artwork Concepts. I too am an aspiring artist, looking to fill the position of Producer and Artist. I am not a rapper, but I can rap my ass off. I look at this as a lifestyle, and I also love singing and dancing and find the label of a rapper to be limited to the scope of work I can do. I love music, and I am an artist, an MC, I AM HIP HOP!
Why this name?
Phoenix is the symbol of re-birth and also the beginning of Eternal Life. I believe I came into this state of mind around the same time I landed my internship. At first it was just my artist name, but then a talented female artist I began working with started addressing me as Phoenix all the time, and it caught on. Ive always wanted to change my name, and I believe as an expression of my creativity, uniquness, and freedom that choosing my own name is an important step. Born Timothy Ward, Re-Born Phoenix Angelo D'Vyne.
Do you play live?
I can DJ for any parties, and I love performing live whether its an open mic poetry night or a full out hip hop concert. I also love freestyling among any crowd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet has made information exchange available to everyone at a much faster and wider range than ever known before. We can literally hook up to the internet as they do in the Matrix, and find anything we need. Also makes business a whole lot easier, and you can make money while you sleep!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, but I got that Jay-Z entrepeneur mind state in that Id rather do it on my own unless the offer is too good to refuse...

Your influences?
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge and show love to my Family and God, they are my source of inspiration for everything. Musically, I have to say artists like Kanye who can produce, promote, perform, and continue to stay relevant are elements I want to incorporate into my music career, but I love so many artists its hard to name them all. Most you'll probably never hear of and are underground but the ones you have probably heard of including but not limited to:2Pac, BIG, Jay-Z, Nas, Early Eminem, Dre, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Outkast, Beanie Siegel, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Usher, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Beyonce, Bob Marley, and T.I.
Favorite spot?
Id definitely have to go with the beaches in either Brazil, LA, or the Bahamas
