Come and listen to what Toronto, Orlando, and Memphis have to say collectively and individualy.
Why this name?
Paradox defines the odd way we came together, being from different cities and half of us being related and not knowing we rapped.
Do you play live?
Orlando is the hotspot for Paradox Unit shows and Tampa is starting to accept our conquest of new territories. Memphis is holding it down and Toronto is the next target. NYC is starting to realize thanks to Nemo.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has caused a slight decline in album sales, but has promoted the messages of music and provided a wider range of artists to express themselves and create more opportunities.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The Paradox unit has already started a record label(P-Dox Productions) and works with other various executive producers
Band History:
Paradox started as the Blacklist in Toronto, Anonymous aka Felony and Shadow aka Synopsis. They became Snakeyez as there cousins in Memphis with a few others started Da Strangaz(ST). Synopsis moved to Orlando as did Tzar of Da Strangaz and the two groups combined to form the Paradox Unit. Tempest and Chroma were co-founders of the group, and Rugged, X.O.D.U.S., Aahmean, and Intel-X were added soon after. other affiliates of the group joined as well and all work to support the name and cause.
Your influences?
Influences range from Marvin Gaye, Quincy Jones, James Brown, Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Buckshot, Nas, Wu-Tang, MosDef, Common, Redman, GangStarr, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, etc...
Favorite spot?
Our Favorite Spot is in the studio.
Equipment used:
We use a variety of eqquipment, seeing that we have 6 producers in the click. Digital Orchestrator Plus, Reason, Cool Edit, Sound Forge, T-Racks, etc...
