Blue Fang
NEWS   Was it Andy Rooney who used to find things while looking for other things? That's how I found the cassette tape with "Ice Cube" and other songs... Its a collection of demo songs, which I'll post "as is." It has degraded a bit, and the sound isn't great. Nor is this or any other song "finished." But definitely worth a listen.

Cross Cut was thrown together in a hurry as a demo for few people. Only two of us were available to put it together. But this has lead to a variety of responses. Now we are looking at putting together another band, follow that with a new CD, and possibly taking the whole kit out on the road. Though I gotta say, I'm fairly certain most, if not all of us are sick of the road. Its the playing we like best. That seems to happen best in the small towns spread out across this great country. So its a trade off. Live out of a small suit case to see the big picture. What a formula!

The Blues is a huge part of most peoples lives - everyone gets the blues sometimes. This music is founded on how people *feel* - good or bad. Some of the tunes posted are original, some are based upon what others have written, or our version of another writer's song. In any event, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why this name?
Well, it had to have a name, and this was the first one mentioned that resonated without any negative vibes (yes, vibes play a role in da blooz).
Do you play live?
There once was a live band, sporting several different monikers through the years. Now, however, it is a loose conglomeration of players. We get together whenever we can, and in different configurations, and play what's in our hearts.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The interweb has connected all who are looking to be connected, and ignores those who wish to be ignored. It is a super highway for anyone willing to get involved. It's a whole, brave, new world, don't you think?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would depend upon the deal. Everyone has a price. If the price were right, it could happen. However, it wouldn't happen, for example, at the expense of our families and friends!
Band History:
This is a twisted and sordid tale, best left to your imaginations!!!
Your influences?
Any and all musicians who "lived it." That can be anyone we've heard of (from Robert Johnson to Eric Clapton, for example), to those we haven't heard of. All are influential in some way to some one. We all make a ripple in at least one life!
Favorite spot?
Chicago is probably the current Blues Capital of the world, and we love it for that and many other reasons. However, the blues is really a personal thang. Therefore, the "favorite spot" would have to be where ever you are at any given moment, and what's in your heart...
Equipment used:
That depends... The list is huge! And, more importantly, we aren't sponsored (therefore not paid), and we don't endorse gear. The best answer is "whatever works!"
