Canadian Talent at its best. Mr Flowas, aka floweasy is an explosive Jamaican-Canadian artist offering an original blend of Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-hop fused with an R&B flavour that is taking over the scene by storm.
Born in Westmoreland, Jamaica and a current resident of Toronto Canada, George Flowers is a product of a close-knit Jamaican family that practices traditional Jamaican values; Hard work, love for self and love for family. Values that are often expressed in his work through creative, intelligent, & thoughtful content.
His introduction to hip-hop, was 'big apple' inspired and attributed & thanks to a strong and nurturing mother who, through modeled independence, allowed Mr. Flowas the freedom to explore different cultures. It is with this freedom that he came to an awakening in the bright lights of New York city, and with that, a knowledge of R&B & hip-hop that forever fused with his reggae background created a musical style that has been steadily bringing Dancehall back to the Canadian Scene.
His music expresses meaningful messages with a smooth, almost hypnotic delivery through carefully engineered song work and is quickly earning him worldwide recognition. His love for the microphone is one that has moved many fans to inspiration, and one he endeavors to share with every given opportunity.
A belief that entertaining music lovers is more important than artist imagery is reflected in the art this musician puts out. Mr. Flowas is one of a remaining few in a category that see's it's pride & work not as designer clothing lines or sneaker deals tied to a name, but a name tied to good music, something everyone can relate to.
This year, Flowas is back with a new album "Yardcore" that is guaranteed to add to his world wide fan base. Flowas' name is already known in Jamaica, The U.S., Germany & Canada - and with this latest release that list is one whose growth is already being anticipated. As a true rising star, Mr. Flowas is seeing requests to have him grace the stages of countries around the world & after a long line up of Radio, Television, Movie & Magazine appearances in 2008 and 2009 Mr. Flowas is truly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that sites like these have a Major impact on the success of strugling artists because without these sites we would never get any exposure other than a few hundred of our friends ....
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, only becuse a lot of the stuff they access to are tried, tested and true and they have built such a network being the only option for all these years that some organizations just want to deal with the major levels ...comfort thang i guess!.
