hey whats up my name is alesia most people know me from myspace. i am a college student i attend florida agriculture and mechanical university. i am 17 years of age soon to be 18. i love singing. singin is my passion. i am trying different styles before i drop my personal track/single. some of the artists rapping are smb, markie p, and redd moody. i am from jacksonville florida and i am trying to make it in this business. i am more than a singer and pretty face, i am educated and smart. i have morals and i have determination.
Why this name?
i am an artist i decided to keep my own personal name because i am unique. i dont need a music name because i am who i am, and thats alesia.
Do you play live?
yes i have sang in many places. i have sang numerous times in church. i also sang in the school pageant in my high school. i loved it it was a rush in a since. i also have sang at birthday parties. it was all great to sing and have them singing and dancing to my songs and words.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
to me it does in a positive and negative. in a negative since. you wont make money because no one would ever buy cd's because they would have it on there mp3, but at the same time on a positive note, its good because they have it on hand. and some one would be like "who is that" and they would be like "thats alesia" =) something like that. its good music for ya ears. whatever your style may be.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes i would. i am hoping to work for universal columbia records. anyone who is about success and has the love for music.
Your influences?
my musical influences are mariah carey, swv, xscape, and keyshia cole. i love their passion in their voices and just the vibe of their music. its real and its like no other.
Favorite spot?
my favorite city is jacksonville thats where i am from. i put on for my city lol. naw i love my city its apart of who i am.
