Thank you for listening to our music. :]
We, ThusFore, are currently a two-man band with Colton Ogden and Brian Fisher as our current and starting musicians. Colton (lead guitar and main lyricist) is the blonde guy on the right, and Brian (percussion, lead vocals, co-lyricist) is the bruno on the left. At the moment, we are on the lookout for singers, keyboard players, guitarists interesting in playing rhythm, and bass players. Though we find it somewhat difficult to classify our genre, alternative metal seems to fit it pretty well.

Why this name?
Our bandname was a self-invented word between the two of us while joking around, a take on the words "thus" and "therefore" in a kind of elegant mixture. We're not entirely sure how it could be defined, but our best guess is that it could be used much like the word "therefore".
Do you play live?
Currently, we are still writing enough songs to get live shows started, but our plan is to eventually take our music live and to as many venues as possible.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We believe the internet has changed the music industry in good and bad ways, but both of them seem to work out just as well . . . mp3s have basically made CDs more of a collector's item than a profit-maker, but at the same time you can get your music out to so many more people through the digital media and through file-sharing. In our opinion, it's the first step to reaching success, not the step that will make you rich in any way. Not that musicians should necessarily play for money, of course . . . ;]
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would sign a record contract, because not only would we get the best in recording equipment but our name would be professional and the chance to play in concerts and tours would be multiplied so many times. We'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
Band History:
ThusFore was begun in the early summer of 2008 and has since been recording and experimenting to get its act ready for live audiences.
Your influences?
We have a lot of musical influences, but to be honest we don't think our music really sounds much like any of them. Examples include Ozzy Osbourne, Dream Theater, ACDC, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Iron Maiden, Racer X, Children of Bodom, and so forth, but only elements of their music if anything can be found in the majority of our songs.
Favorite spot?
Neither of us has really gone much past Orange County, so we'd have to say parts of Laguna. :]
Equipment used:
We use very cheap equipment, mainly because we can't afford anything better but also because it's quite easy to get a decent sound out of even the simplest and most affordable stuff out there. For recording, we use a MacBook with Audacity, a freeware program that's cross-platform and enables you to record as many tracks as you want, a Toneworks Korg AX1500G effects pedal for distortion and other guitar effects, a six-channel mixing board with standard mic inputs for vocals, and a Yamaha keyboard for drums until we get our hands on a real kit. We're able to get fairly authentic sounds out of all these things combined, and so we're happy until we have to play live.
Anything else...?
We hope you like our music, we hope you like us, and we hope you'll come back for us again. :]. Till that time comes again, you have our appreciation.
