"Work Hard Live Well" that’s the motto used by 20 year old rapper Jae Druitt aka Mount Druitt’s Hometown Hero Born in the rough neighborhood of Mount Druitt to a an Australian Mother and an acholic Father, Jae Druitt has been making music for as long as he can remember. He was 10 years old when he first put pen to pad but began recording tracks 4 years ago. "The first few songs were like about cartoons and other kids things but as I got older the rhymes got a bit more deeper."

It was during the year 2000 that JD and his family relocated to Lismore "When we moved we left my dad I always asked my mum why but as I got older I figured it out for myself and that’s when I started to put my life into my rhymes". Even though JD and his family had moved they still were haunted by the past "We moved alot, I’ve seen alot of schools, alot of houses and all that was because my mum feared that my father would harm us, so she was keeping us safe".

It wasn’t until JD left high school that his mind was fully focused on hip hop "I dropped out in Year 10 worked on my music for a year then for the next 2 years I gave Year 11 but it just wasn’t for me, then I decided f*** it I’am a do this music thing and if it don’t pay off then I’ll find another road to go on"

The year is 2008 and Jae says this year is time to knuckle down and make these people take notice "I feel that this year and beyond is my time to take control". With the whole Mount Druitt on his back it might be an up hill battle "People will be thinking what does a guy from Mount Druitt have to offer well I’ll tell you right now Mount Druitt got something to say and Jae Druitt is there voice".

With a big year ahead of him Jae says its time for the majors to start opening there ears "These major’s need to start listening cause I’am coming and so are a bunch of other artists that are ready to talk some real shit" With that said the game is about to be shaking up.
