We'll have more music soon. Hopefully the album will be out sometime before we're too old to play.
Why this name?
Originally the prject was a solo project called Bagheera, then the drummer became a more permanent addition and it became Decahedron because we're multi-faceted, but apparantly there was a Washington based band that liked to use megaphones to do their singing with that name, so we evolved to Dodecahedron. Great thing is, even if someone isn't familiar with the mathematical relevance, it still sounds kinda cool.
Do you play live?
No, not yet. Hopefully next year.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I would love to see the day that the internet changes why musicians play. I see people that simply want to make money, and then I see people who simply want to play music. When I compare the two I realize that I am the latter, and I believe that I will be amongst the handfull of musicians that survive the internet because of it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Assuming we lived in perfect and I could choose all of my own terms regarding distribution and sale, and I wouldn't have a producer trying to butcher my songs to make them more mainstream, yes. Otherwise, no.
Band History:
Not much to it. I, Ian, have been playing piano and guitar for a while, and I began feeling the urge to play with other people to expand my skillset, then I met John, after a while I finally convinced him to be a part of my project, and now I think that purely out of the mutual respect and love of music, we've made a damn good team.
Your influences?
Joe Satriani, Pink Floyd, the Who, Rob Metz, Beethoven, Mozart, Handel, Chopin.
Favorite spot?
Any place I can be accepted simply because I love music and not judged simply on lack of experience.
Equipment used:
Ibanez RG4, Behringer Eurorack, Sonar, some mics, and alot of help from some friends.
Anything else...?
Anything. (it said it goes here)
