Silent Trio has been rocking in some form or another since early 2007, when a craigslist ad was created and replied to.

We're looking for more musicians to round out our trio.

Why this name?
Silent Trio used to be a funny band name when we had 4 members.
Do you play live?
So far, the Uptown Bar in St Pete. Also booking shows in Tampa at the Brass Mug. See myspace.com/silenttrio to stay up-to-date
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Make an offer, I'll read the contract several times.
Band History:
Jim: Ive played saxophone since 1992. Jazz improvisation lessons on the horn and a few music theory classes taught me music as I know it today. As a longtime Primus fanatic, I acquired the desire to self-teach the bass guitar, left-handed. To facilitate in the communication of songs I wrote, I learned guitar. I have performed with rock, jazz big band, small groups, metal, and alternative groups. In the Arctic Circle during the summer of 2004, I started self-recording on my Dell calling the self-recordings Bandwagon. Since then, I fancy file sharing and recording with friends many miles apart. I also enjoy playing drums, my wind synthesizer, and tickling some ivory. I travel far and wide to hear live performances.

Nathan: I picked up guitar while I was living in Mexico in 1998, because punk rock was awesome. After a couple years, I put together a rock trio with my brother and my best friend, and we locked ourselves in a cement block room and played every day because there were no venues for indie cover bands. In 2004, I moved to Florida, and two bands and a couple of years later, I started Silent Trio. In Spring of 2008, I started taking guitar performance and music theory at St Petersburg College.

Robert: Robert has done music and audio engineering all his life. He is a secretive, secretive man. For all we know, he may also be very old.
Your influences?
Jim: The Toadies, Primus, Bela Fleck, Ted Leo and The Pharmacists, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Crack Sabbath, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Tower of Power
Robert: Pilots vs. Aeroplanes, The Magnetic Fields, Minus The Bear, The Decemberists, Hella, The Faint
Nathan: Modest Mouse, Alice Donut, The Pixies, Cafe Tacuba, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Mano Negra, System of a Down
Etc: Radiohead, The Mars Volta, The Beatles
Equipment used:
I don't know. Guitars and basses, saxes and drums.
