I'm a serious songwriter, but I'm displaying mostly humorous stuff here (with little if any market value). I let my funny bone (rather than my heart) shape the lyrics to the parodies I write. If you don't judge me for writing them, I won't judge you for listening to them. LOL

Why this name?

"Dana" is my first name. Although a unisex name, I'm a "Man". Because I'm not the only "DanaMan", I add "4u" - which is appropriate because I prefer to please others than to please myself.

Do you play live?

I'm less a musician than a singer, and less a singer than a songwriter, but I've performed songs/shows/videos in public venues and on TV. (Don't read too much into that.)

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It bridges the gap between wannabes and superstars. It supports more diversity, and medium levels of success are now obtainable without music makers quiting their days jobs and moving to the big music centers.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I'm a songwriter - not a performing artist. I would love to have others perform my songs, but I'm not actively pitching them.

Band History:

My band was born in 1954 after my mother discovered that the swelling in her 40 year old belly was not a tumor.

Your influences?

I like everything from Elton John to Katy Perry. In fact, I like some music from almost every genre. I'm not sure who or what has influenced me though.

Favorite spot?

I love to get out in nature near water or to places with mountain vistas. Regardless of where I'm at, who I'm with is far more important.

Generally, I use my mind, then my keyboard, and then sometimes Noteworthy Composer software.
