"Mellow Motif" is a small intimate jazz group consists of three graduating Carnegie Mellon University students. We've had different soloists work with us occasionally (Randolph Scott-McLaughlin on Saxophone, and Sarah Moon on Flute) We've had performance experiences both on big stages and small-settings. We regularly play in Pittsburgh area, and at various venues in Bangkok, Thailand, depending on the time of the year and availability.

Do you play live?
Previous Local Venues - include Kiva Han (Craig St.), The Underground Cafe (Morewood Ave.), Skibo Coffee House (Forbes Ave.), Gulifty's (Murray Ave.). As of Spring 2008, we currently have shows booked at Club Cafe (through AcoustiCafe), we are appearing as Heather Kropf's guest artist (Feb 18th, 8.00pm); at Lava Lounge (E.Carson St.April 10th); The Shadow Lounge (March 6th); and Aldo Coffee (Mt. Washington; date TBA). We have shows booked at these venues throughout the spring.
Outside of Pittsburgh we've gotten gigs from Villanova University(date TBA), La Roche College (date TBA), and at New Brunswick's City Radio Station Click Radio for an a live performance/interview session. Other small gigs include various coffee shops, pub/restuarants, private parties, semi-formals, and more.
Previous venues in Bangkok, Thailand include Central Chidlom Dept. Store, Autumn Leaf Pub & Restaurant, Emporium Dept. Store, The Piano (pub/restaurant), the Harmonics(pub/restaurant), The Mall Bangkapi Dept. Store, etc.. In the summer, we have shows booked at SiamParagon and Central World Plaza, two of the largest shopping complex in Bangkok.
