A Fine Day is brothers William and Peter Bajzek. The project began as an improvised guitar duo, combining acoustic and heavily processed electric guitars. Eventually AFD began using more synth and sampling techniques, taking advantage of internet technologies to collaborate at a distance.
Why this name?
After our first, improvised recording session, the name just seemed obvious.
Do you play live?
AFD began as a live improv duo, playing a handful of times in café environments. But as we are separated by a great distance, the focus has shifted more towards recording projects.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In our case, this music would not exist otherwise, as we have composed most of these pieces by sending files back and forth via e-mail.
