How Do I Tell My Heart
My name is Jamirae and I am a country singer from Queen Creek, Arizona where I was born and raised. I am seeking a recording contract in Nasville, or with anyone who likes my music!
I have auditioned for all 6 seasons of Nashville Star, I've had call backs every time but never made it to the show.
I sing in chruch, wedding ceremonies and anywhere else I can... street corners, coffee shops, sometimes I just sing while I'm walking down the street... you never know who'll be listening.
Right now I'm woking on original music. HOW DO I TELL MY HEART is the single off my album GOTTA FIND A WAY. Until the album is finished I hope you enjoy my cover songs & my single HOW DO I TELL MY HEART.

Why this name?
I was born with it! It sounds country, it just works.
Do you play live?
I sing at weddings ALL the time. I have since I was 17 years old. It is easy work and you always get invited to the reception for a free meal!
The most special moment for me was singing at the legendary Grand Ole Opry! I entered an amateur contest where the top 25 performed at the Grand Ole Opry. I made the top 25 but I was so caught up in standing in that circle I don't know where I placed. I know I didn't win because there was a cash prize and I would have remembered that. Standing in that circle was AMAZING! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a great tool for artists. We can be seen all over the world and it is cheaper than driving cross country just to get our music out there. This way the artists, like myself, who have limited funds and cannot travel all the time for auditions and gigs have a chance to be seen & heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In a heartbeat! That is why I am on here....EXPOSURE....I just need the right person to hear me. I would love to be with a label.
Your influences?
Some of my influences include, the great Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Wynonna, George Strait, Brad Paisley, Brett Manning, Tanya Tucker and Mr. John Rich.
Favorite spot?
I have been in many cities and there are great places all over the country but if I had to choose just one place I would say on a stage singing....ANYWHERE for thousands of screaming fans!
Equipment used:
My voice. Depending on the venue sometimes I don't even need a microphone.
Anything else...?
I am just a singer who wants to sing. I am not in it for the fame or the money. I want to perform songs that touch people and that can help make a difference in thier lives. Don't get me wrong, getting paid for hard work would be great! I have sang for free pretty much my whole career so a dollar here or there would be nice. The money just isn't the main goal I have for my career as a country singer. I ENJOY IT! I enjoy being on stage and singing songs that people know the words to because the song means something to them. If being on a stage was all I did for the rest of my life paycheck or not I'd be 'THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WHOLE USA!"
