Hi,
I'm now a one man recording studio. Used to be in lots of reasonably unsuccessful bands in my time. Now I can be reasonably unsuccessful on my own.
Why this name?
Don't have a band name. Just me Alan Scott
Do you play live?
Used to play live at a few venues in and around Newcastle in the 60/70s.
Those were the days of sex drugs and rock n roll.
Now its a tinkle on me keyboard, a glass of warm milk and to bed early.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet chas hanged the music industry dramatically. Some of it is for the better in that its easier to get music published. CD sales have taken a hammering though
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Na..What for??? I'm loaded and don't need the hassle. (I wish)!
Band History:
No history here as the band disbanded in 79
Your influences?
Jeff Lynne of ELO has probably been the biggest musical influence on me.
Ofcourse Lennon & McCartney come a close second n third.
Favorite spot?
Fort William in the Scottish western Highland.
Lived there for 12 years. If I won the lottery I would return tomorrow.
Equipment used:
Nowt special here. Fender strat, Stag bass (£50).Alesis SR drum synth. Takamine acoustic guitar. Digitec RP300. Yamaha PSR keyboard. And an unbelieveable little midi controller that doubles as a computer keyboard which is the Creative Prodikeys. The million dollar sound for 50 quid.
