I am a solo recording artist who has been composing songs and recording my own projects for more than 30 years.
Why this name?
My band name is my name.
Do you play live?
I have played as a musician in several live situations, from coffee houses to churches to bars and more. One time in the 1970s when I was playing with an R&B band on Easter Sunday, I dyed my hair like an easter egg before playing in the Crenshaw District. It wasn't exactly a high musical moment, but it was memorable.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think digital downloading is great. Time marches on. That's a good thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Duh. Yes!
Your influences?
Some of my musical influences are Todd Rundgren, Christian artist Tommy Walker, bassist Victor Wooten.
Equipment used:
I record with GarageBand on a Mac G5. I've got lots of gear, from keyboards to guitars and basses.
