Why this name?

I got the name Pezto one day when me and my friend were walking down an alley and saw a building under construction with spray can sitting next to it. we grabbed one each and ran in. i started to tag my name (Pete) P... E... and then my friend saw me and said "fool you cant just write your real name.." so then i wrote Z... T.... and then an O.... that originally was an anarchy symbol. Pezto was born

Do you play live?

Havent done a show yet, lookin a forward to rockin the crowd some day

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It redefines everything, i think the best move for artists nowadays is to stay independent and keep their music close to their own hearts and visions. my 1st album will be free to download and maybe after i get some ears i might sell cds or setup a donation system, or maybe dun dun dun...itunes.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Seeing as there is no way i could stand true to what i think people should hear from me... probally not. but if the gave me a contract where i had REAL creative freedom (haha ok) i MIGHT...

Band History:

Im 22 and ive been making hip hop since i was 15, i have very little to show for it cuase ive had no real mentor or even peers that were on my level or even serious about making hip hop...

Your influences?

A Tribe Called Quest, Ghostface Killah, Wu-Tang, Typical Cats, Kanye West, Talib, Common, Eminem, Rise, Lyricist Lounge Heads, Immortal Technique, Diabolic, and more every day. i just heard RISE's album and i have to say one of the best ive heard.

Favorite spot?

Downtown Chi-town, or Berwyn and Seattle's pretty raw too
