Why this name?
The name refers to an idea of man combining machine or technology to the flesh to evolve or accomplish different things using the name is somewhat a metaphor of this referring our our use of different influence and ideas to accomplish something new.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet effects alot especially with artist exposure. it's alot easier for someone in another country to discover an unsigned band then had they found a label
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal was artist friendly and still gave us freedom to do what we do then sure.
