Currently living in Cleveland, Ohio, Mike is a native of Long Island, New York. He has been writing music and performing for almost twenty years. His musical influences have varied, but his writing style is radio friendly modern rock.

Mike is currently performing with his band, the Mike Farley Band, in many clubs in Cleveland and has toured Pennyslvania, New Jersey, and New York in support of his second CD On The Edge of Somewhere, which is already in its second pressing. This most recent CD has charted on several college and AAA stations in Northeast Ohio and regionally.

The Mike Farley Band has performed at the Odeon, Blossom Music Center, Wilbert’s, and the Nautica Stage in Northeast Ohio opening for, among others, 10,000 Maniacs, Donnie Iris, the Red Elvises, Jewel, Rusted Root, the Pretenders, Edwin McCain, and G. Love & Special Sauce. He also performs solo acoustic shows in Cleveland and regionally, and is fast becoming one of Cleveland’s most respected songwriters. In fact, he was voted Northeast Ohio’s best singer/songwriter in the Cleveland Free Times Music Awards this past February.

Most recently, Mike and his band was chosen for Rockfest 2000 in Atlanta this April, a showcase of 20 bands for an event that takes place in four cities worldwide during the year, as well as Musicstock 2000 in Ithaca, NY in July.

Of his many goals, some of the larger ones are to sign, record, and tour with a major label
release; write a hit song for an established artist; and/or to win a Grammy. Either way, Mike Farley is doing what he loves and it shows in his music and performances
