Child of Chaos is - me (Spion) :). I mostly create classical/neoclassical/ambient music electronically, or I record/play music using my Korg SP200 keyboard. My inspiration is the nature (the impact it has on my mood), or the mood/feelings caused by my social life.
Why this name?
It came out from the various chaotical moods I go trough, and the nature of my music which often sounds structureless.
Do you play live?
I dont play live, I am not really good at any instruments, except that I play keyboards and (classical) guitar a bit. I wish I could play well and have a great technique.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Music is not industry. Music is to be shared; to pass the flow of feelings to others is a great moment for each human. Some do it with paintings. Some do it with other forms of art. Some do it with music. I think that the Internet helps in killing the "music as product" philosophy that circle around these days. That’s great.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I might, but I really don’t think a major label would be interested in any of my music. The stimulus for me isn't fame or money anyway - not that I could have them even if I wanted to ;)
Band History:
I started this project back in 2000, under other name, and so far made 2 albums + working on the third. I changed the name when I figured it was more appropriate and catchy. Not much of other history though, but my influences started with classical music and ended up closer to ambient, black metal and dark symphonic music. I also have influences from my friend (a great heavy-metalhead). We also have a band, its called Kimera, and we create great music :)
Your influences?
Black, Death (and a little bit of heavy) metal, ambient music, and classical music are my influences. Some New Age artists like Vangelis, Jean Michelle Jarre and Mike Oldfield too. Chopin and Debussy are one of my favourites. Wagner is powerfully amazing. Burzum is magical and hypnotic. Summoning are perfectionists from another dimension. Older Emperor are also great. (note: Opeth used to be real masters). Recently I've been very fond of Craig Armstrong and some experimental / ambient / technical death metal artists/bands.
Favorite spot?
I love my country and my city. I love any natural place, mountains, rivers, and lakes. Any calm, balanced place on which the human hand had little or no impact is my favourite.
Equipment used:
- AMD AthlonXP 2600+ with Audigy2 Platinum eX
- (old) Yamaha synth with 61 keys
- Korg SP-200 Stage Piano with 88 weighted keys
- FL Studio 5.02 XXL with all plugins
- additional VST plugins/instruments, which I play trough the keyboard (via MIDI)
Anything else...?
Music is art, not a product!
Today's society is slowly falling apart.
Less respect for human lives, more respect for nature overall.
