Of One Accord blends the sweet-sounding harmonies of good old-fashioned southern gospel music with a contemporary feeling to make each concert a musical experience. From old standards like Step Into The Water and Hide Thou Me to a host of new music, Of One Accord has a message in song for everyone.
Why this name?
Our name comes from Philippians 2:2 (KJV), which says, "Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."
Do you play live?
Since its inception in 2004, the group has performed for churches, festivals and home-goings across the nation. Additionally, the group has sung for audiences at Southern Gospel Music Fan Fare in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and for many showcases at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. They have appeared in concerts with many national gospel artists, including The Imperials, The Blackwoods, Palmetto State Quartet, Karen Peck & New River, Kevin Spencer & Friends, The Dixie Melody Boys, Naomi & The Segos, Linda Davis, Michael English, Sherry Farmer, Lulu Roman, and Ken Turner.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet provides a way to extend the reach of our ministry to areas not previously available. It helps us to reach the lost on a scale that before seemed uncomprehensible.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if one were offered.
