I chose Mista Revolution for one simple reason, my beats are a new revolution of beats. Im fusing together genres of music you wouldnt believe could be fused. My beats are a new revolution of beats to the entire world of music. As i get older and wiser, my beats will get even more revolutionized. The Revolution has just begun and will not end for a very long time!
Do you play live?
No i dont play live yet. Im only a producer. However, with future artists that i work with, i may be on stage with them while they perform.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has changed the music industry as far as the searching for new talent, distribution, promotion, contacting, and marketing. It changed the industry both in a good way and a bad way. The good way is that the internet made life a hell of alot easier for record labels to find new talent. The internet changed the industry in a bad way as far as marketing and the way of Hip Hop. Im talking mainly about hip hop right now. Artists dont have to waste their time and money on studio time. These Days, all you need is a computer with internet connection, and a Music creating software. People, these days, think they can make a hip hop track just by throwing a couple of vocals and beats together and call it a day. For example, Soulja Boy. Yeah he made a hit with "Crank Dat Soulja Boy". But what isnt cool is that people get a rise out of a simple beat like that and a repetition of words. THAT IS NOT HIP HOP...THAT IS WACK SHIT! People are losing sight of what hip hop truely is. Artists taking their time and working on a real HIT track. Thats Hip Hop.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would. Only if i dont create my own. But creating my own label is my plan in my music career.
Band History:
I've been producing since i was 11. I was introduced to making beats by one of my close friends, known to many as Jusshane. He introduced me to a Playstation 2 music creation game called, "MTV Music Generator 2". I bought my own copy and instantly went to work on MANY beats. I've used that game for 5 years. During winter of '07, I bought a new computer, MIDI Controller, and speakers. Big ups to Jusshane for giving me a copy of Reason 3.0. Jusshane introduced me to Big Drew, an upcoming artist in the soca world. So far both of them helped me out with alot. Now its my time to shine and show the world what this new REVOLUTION IS GOING TO BRING!
Your influences?
My musical influences are....Timbaland, Polow Da Don, JR Rotem, Rockwilder, and Pharrell.
Favorite spot?
I rep my city "MIAMI" all day, every day.
Equipment used:
I use Reason 4.0, and an M-Audio 49-Key Keystudio MIDI Controller. Planning to buy more hardware and software in the near future.
Anything else...?
Big ups to Jusshane and Big drew and all the people who show me love and support! Yall Bless Up.
